Welcome to Brazil Strategy

Dear Visitors of Brazil Strategy,

welcome to my new blog about the Brazilian economy.

At present, the BRIC countries - Brazil, Russia, India and China - continue their economic growth spurt. Certainly, the four leading emerging markets can be seen as the success story of the 21st century. The eminent economic potential and its huge populations turn the BRIC countries into players that have to be taken seriously.

Brazil - the "B" of the BRIC countries - can pride itself on having directed their economy towards a stable and sustainable growth path. In comparison to the other BRIC economies, Brazil exhibits a far more moderate GDP growth rate at an annual average of 2.7% since 2003. It even fell below the GDP growth expectations sighted by Goldman Sachs. However, this underperformance can be associated with the implementation of a stabilization programme by the Brazilian government. Its primary focus is to achieve macroeconomic stability in order to allow long term growth. Brazil used its payment surpluses in recent years to repay its external debt. Coevally, Brazil managed to accumulate a significant amount of currency reserves.
According to Goldman Sachs, Brazil is capable to grow at an annual rate between 3.7% and 5% within the next years.

As a matter of fact, Brazil is well known as an exporter for soft (coffee, sugar, orange juice) and hard commodities (iron ore). Furthermore, Brazil possesses a favorable demographic environment with a young growing population that is prone to consume any kind of goods in future.

The upcoming years will be promising for Brazil. And everybody who is aware of this growth potential is able to participate in the strengthening of the Latin American giant.
We as individuals can invest in Brazil and benefit from the growth that will occur most likely.

I created this blog to establish an open platform for ideas, investment strategies, thoughts, opinions, articles, with reference to the topic "Investment in Brazil". At this point I will provide this website with information on industries, states, companies and important issues regarding the Brazilian market.

Feel free to blog post.

Thank you for your visit and your time investment!
